OUR SAMPLE FAIR

From December 6 to 10, the busiest agri-food and crafts fair in the entire province of Seville will take place in El Pedroso, which has already accumulated more than 2.5 million visitors between all its previous editions.

In uninterrupted hours from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., typical products from the Sierra Morena of Seville and even from other provinces and regions, will be exhibited and sold in the 135 exhibitors that will be located along the exhibition route, distributed by the streets of Pedrosa, the Food Market, the fairgrounds and the sports pavilion.

Gastronomic exhibition

It is essentially composed of game products, sausages, hams and shoulders, cheeses of all types, oils, honey, sweets, shortbreads, aniseed, musts, cherries and liqueurs, aromatic and seasoning plants, etc...

Visits to the New Schools Culture Center

An emblematic building located in the center of the town and attributed to the architect Aurelio Gómez Millán, from the Aníbal González school with architectural designs as well known as the Plaza de España in Seville.

Here we can find the Museum dedicated to the history of writing and teaching until reaching an unpublished collection of all the planet awards, donated by the Lara Foundation. In engineer Elorza's room, a geological exhibition and a journey through the mining history of El Pedroso and its Iron Factory await us.

Visits to the church of La Consolación and historical-cultural heritage

Inside our church you can see the 16th century Sacramental Chapel. You can also see the image of the Cristo del Buen Fin and its altarpiece, both from the 16th century, and of course, the figure of the Immaculate Conception, attributed to the Sevillian sculptor Martínez Montañés at the beginning of the 17th century.

Visits to the bell tower

Visit to the local hermitages

You can take a route to visit the hermitage of Stmo. Christ of Mercy and Our Lady of Sorrows and the hermitage of the patron saint of our town, Our Lady of Espino. Our historical-cultural religious heritage treasures extraordinary wealth, including the humiliadero cross in this visit.

Exhibition of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Hdad. of the Stmo. Christ of Mercy and Our Lady of Sorrows

Temporary exhibition, in which the artistic and cultural heritage of the brotherhood will be revealed as well as the images of its Sacred Holders. It will take place in the hermitage of Cristo de la Misericordia, which is located on the site of the old Hospital de la Misericordia. In this temporary exhibition you will be able to enter the heart of the brotherhood, as well as the goldsmithing, textiles and paper that is found inside the hermitage, we can appreciate among other cultural assets; some Rules of the Holy Brotherhood of Veracruz dating from October 19, 1727, the first rules of the brotherhood after the refoundation in July 1952, various sayings of the virgin; masks and handkerchiefs from different periods, the original cross of the Holy Christ of Mercy, as well as many other pieces of goldsmithing.

Craft exhibition

Among other products we can find pottery work, crafts, embroidery, leather work, deer antler crafts, paintings, etc...

Pedroseño artisans

Throughout the fair route we can find neighbors who wanted to show us their crafts such as paintings, crafts, soaps, jewelry, embroidery, etc...

House Museum of ancient customs

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in an old rural home with customs of our land, the decoration, the small details, the smell of a good “pot” and the warmth of a home as our grandparents lived.

Art Exhibition “Thea's Gaze”

Workshop and exhibition hall. Space of balance where the artist captures in her figures the vision of the human being in general and of women in particular.

This space offers children and adults some leisure experiences where they can generally enjoy, such as jumping or doing an obstacle course.

Birds Raptors

During all the days of the exhibition there will be an exhibition of birds of prey at the municipal sports center by Gestiones Medioambientales del Sur, SCA, in which different types of birds such as owls, owls, kestrels, falcons, eagles, vultures, etc. . They will be displayed on their hangers.

During all days of the show, there will be flight displays at 4:30 p.m.

Canine Rescue

The Alpesa Rescue Canine Unit will hold two daily exhibitions at the entrance to the municipal sports center exhibition at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., where their trained dogs will perform different exercises. This association that collaborates with the security forces and that carries out its work altruistically

ASNADIS Antiques Rake

Antiques flea market organized by the Sierra Norte Association for Attention to the Mentally Disabled, has been operating since 1996 and throughout these years they continue to work for the defense and development of the interests of people with Intellectual Disabilities in the Sierra Morena of Seville. In this market you can find everything from homemade sweets to crafts made by the members of the association.

Routes through the town on a pneumatic train

For the convenience of visitors, the service of crossing the town on a tourist train is offered, which will travel through the streets of the town to bring visitors closer to the different samples found in the town.

There are two stops with two itineraries leaving from Llano de la Estación and another leaving from Paseo del Espino.

Exhibition “Sevillian comics. Present (past and future) of comics in Seville”

Exhibition with a look at the current panorama of the city, through the pages of thirty artists who were born or maintain a close connection with Seville. With large format prints of some drawings and other curiosities, the works are inserted in the exhibition hall in an original route that is part of the Comics Day activities.

Living Belen

Representation of traditional scenes from the Bible with people and animals as protagonists.

Small Museum of Torrejón

Antique exhibition led by our neighbor Antonio Torrejón, where you can view each item on display. In this small museum you immerse yourself in a journey through time.

parish nativity scene

At the Nuestra Señora de la Consolación Church we will enjoy the placement of the parish nativity scene that each year, the parishioners together with the priest, place with care. This will not only remain during the fair but will remain until after the Christmas holidays.

This year, 2023, the El Pedroso parish nativity scene has created a special assembly to commemorate the centenary of the first recreation by Saint Francis of Assisi, as it marks 800 years since the creation of the first Nativity scene, which was the first nativity scene in the little town. The Poster

In this XXVII edition the poster is a work by the Pedro native, Mr. Manuel González Muñoz. Artist who represented the works of the first ten editions of this gastronomic exhibition and who, for health reasons, had to take a break from developing the art of painting.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary, this Pedroso artist wanted to give the town of El Pedroso the gift of making the painting for our Trade Fair, and it has been three consecutive years that he has given the town the gift of printing beautiful Pedroso landscapes. .

The work is done in oil, and reflects the livestock of the La Jarosa municipal farm. Some majestic red cows grazing in the field.

This farm has great sentimental value for all Pedroseños and these cattle provide sustenance to several Pedrosa families.
