Today I am going to guide you through this wonderful heritage route, where you will visit emblematic places of El Pedroso while you walk through its streets and discover other places of interest in the municipality.

Stop 1: Food Market

Starting the tour from the Municipal Tourism Office, we enter the town along Avda. de la Estación to reach the Food Market, picturesque place that opens space for its traditional trade fair on Prado street number 13.

If you are a food lover, this stop will be a must-see when you visit El Pedroso. There you can find stalls and offers with products from the Sierra Morena of Seville, order an aperitif and taste its riches.

Stop 2: New Schools Cultural Center

Continue walking for 2 minutes along Prado and Moret Street, until you reach the Latero Alley, whose name is due to Don Francisco Guerra, the latero, and which leads us to our second stop: the New Schools Cultural Center.

With an incredible façade, this Cultural Center houses the museum space dedicated to the history of writing and teaching, as well as an exhibition on mining and geology in the Sierra Morena of Seville.

Then continue along Cervantes Street and Moret Street, walk 300 meters to the Pepe Lora Square, cozy place with white walls where you can take a seat, enjoy the town and take some photos.

Continuing along Olvido Street, you will find the third stop in the Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Consolación, the Church of Our Lady of Consolation. Located next to the Town Hall, this Catholic Temple dates back to the 15th century and was specifically registered in the General Catalog of Andalusian Historical Heritage in 2002. The architecture and history of this Church mean that you cannot miss visiting it.

Stop 5: Casa Granja de la Cartuja

And to finish this tour I recommend you continue along Cristo Street and Zabalza Tajonar Street, where you can see the Cartuja Farm House. A building whose historical importance lies in being one of the administrative buildings of the Carthusian monks established in Cazalla de la Sierra, where they trained novice monks in their different tasks.

Stop 6: Hermitage of the Virgen del Espino

Continue through Zabalza Tajonar and Paseo del Espino, walking approximately 9 minutes until what will be your last stop, the Hermitage of the Virgen del Espino, emblematic religious temple of El Pedroso where its patron saint stays.
